On 9/6/2022, Great Panther Mining Limited filed a Notice of Intention to Make a Proposal (BIA) under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (Canada)to provide creditor protection while the Company seeks to restructure its affairs. Great Panther Mining Ltd will continue to operate and will remain in control of its business. Alvarez & Marsal Canada Inc. were appointed as the Proposal Trustee pursuant to the BIA to monitor the Company's operations and restructuring.
On 10/4/2022, the Company was granted an initial order to convert its proceedings under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (Canada) into a proceedings under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act, R.S.C. 1985, c. C-36, as amended (the “CCAA”). Pursuant to the Initial Order, Alvarez & Marsal Canada Inc. was appointed as Monitor in the CCAA Proceedings.
On 12/16/2022, Great Panther Mining Limited made a Voluntary Assignment into Bankruptcy under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (Canada) (the "BIA") following the Supreme Court of British Columbia terminating its proceedings under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act (Canada)("CCAA"). Alvarez & Marsal Canada Inc. was appointed licensed insolvency Trustee of Great Panther's estate. The Bankruptcy of Great Panther does not affect Great Panther's subsidiaries, and the Trustee will now exercise the rights of Great Panther as shareholder.

Great Panther Mining Limited is a Canada-based precious metals producer focused on the operation of the Tucano Gold Mine in Brazil. The Company controls a land package covering nearly 200,000 hectares in the prospective Vila Nova Greenstone belt. The Company has three wholly owned mining operations including the Tucano gold mine, which produces gold dore and is located in Amapa State in northern Brazil. In Mexico, Great Panther operates the Topia mine in the state of Durango, which produces concentrates containing silver, gold, lead and zinc, and the Guanajuato Mine Complex (the GMC) in the state of Guanajuato. The GMC comprises the Guanajuato mine, the San Ignacio mine, and the Cata processing plant, which produces silver and gold concentrates. It has a portfolio of exploration projects: El Horcon property, Santa Rosa, and Plomo property.
